Providence, RI, April 3, 2006 ─ Traction Software, the leading developer of enterprise blog software for effective team collaboration, today announced the deployment of its TeamPage Enterprise Blog platform for SITA, the world's leading service provider of IT business solutions and communications services to the air transport community. The deployment was managed by Traction’s France and Switzerland Consulting Partner b-spirit.com.

The solution implemented at SITA headquarters in Geneva (Switzerland), as well as in other locations, provides the company with a professional space for knowledge sharing and on-line collaboration. Departments in Geneva, London, Rome, Montreal, Beirut, Paris, Singapore, Rio, Mumbai, are actively using it to centralize documents, share ideas, collaborate on projects and exchange feedback.

“For our business development sales channel spread across different locations and time zones in the world we required a cost-effective and efficient way of sharing knowledge and experience. The Traction TeamPage software allows us to experiment with new ways of encouraging dialogue and collaborating internally. We strongly believe in investing in technology - we have to stay on the edge of new developments to stay ahead of our competitors,” said Paul Whitwam, Chief Commercial Officer, SITA.

A growing community of SITA users, spread across several continents and departments is now “blogging” internally, without disrupting the existing corporate processes. Traction TeamPage is running in conjunction with SITA’s existing e-mail platform, Intranet and other operational tools for managing digital content. It has been positioned as an additional layer to help users to better organize information and put it into context. Leveraging TeamPage, users actively participate and contribute to the continuous growth of corporate knowledge.

The platform comprises multiple sections such as Sales Operations, Marketing, Training & Development, and Communications, enabling users to better categorize and filter content.

One of SITA’s key objectives underpinning the use of Traction TeamPage as a common and unique blog platform was to overcome the structural and practical barriers between people, time zones, business units and departments, regional processes and hierarchy, where common tools such as voice-mail and e-mail could not bring the necessary visibility, accessibility and coverage.

“SITA’s requirements were ready-made for TeamPage – worldwide offices and teams needing an easy-to-use, fast to deploy, cost-effective and central application to securely manage, share, collect and edit business-critical information,” said Greg Lloyd, Traction Software President and Founder. “Enterprise blog software is an extremely attractive alternative to enterprise content management systems that are difficult to deploy, difficult to use, expensive, and complex to administer. The functionality that SITA and other customers need and use is delivered out of the box by TeamPage.”
